Have you ever felt that this world is just one big mistake? That it is worth nothing, and the lives of those, who inhabit this planet, are totally empty, meaningles and expendable? Have you ever sensed absolute apathy, disgrace and a holistic lack of respect for anything alive or dead? If your answer is yes, then welcome to our world, child, for you have faced the enemy of all existence - nihilism. 'Tis a very formidable and dangerous entity, and once it gains power over you - there is no escape. Akin to an endless void, it will slowly shroud you, and finally plunge you into the pitch black ocean of despair. Do not let it grasp you, and do your best to prevent what you cannot fight on your own.

Fear... the biggest and most influential of all our feelings, the best motivator ever created in the history of humankind, and the most yielding weapon ever turned against the world of men. It is an integral part of ourselves and that is no fairy tale or illusion. There are those who utter about absolute valor and fearlessness. When you hear them, know this - they are certainly wrong. Even the most brave and courageous of hearts, heroic of hearts experience consternation simply because they are alive and human. Being a hero does not imply being fearless, but being able to face your worst nightmares, look them into the eye. Heroes are those, who become afraid just about five seconds later than most of us. Only the most valiant and indomitable can restrain, master and subdue their fears. So, do not fool yourselves thinking of the fearless people, for there are none, and remember that fear will attempt to get the best of us. One day it might succeed.

Each of us wears masks, and, unfortunately, there is no way to help it. Some of us have a daily facade we all wear in front of everyone that we remove when the day is over. Others have a thousand faces and are masters of concealment - you may never guess what they are thinking. If you take a quick, but an attentive glance around you, you may discover that hypocrites are everywhere. Why? Because it is inexorable. If there were no hypocrites, the world would certainly be a better, albeit empty, place. You see, there are people who dislike the bitterness of truth, especially when shoved in their faces. So, even if each of us were sincere at all times, people would hate and eventually start killing each other. As you may see, it behooves us all to wear our masks in order not to hurt people's feelings and stay alive ourselves. However, do not underestimate the power of a mask. It might be a mere imaginary disguise, but if you wear it for too long, you might forget what was beneath it.

There are no selfless deeds, as well as people. Altruists are a myth - fictional characters forged by the mentally deranged folk or some priests, whose heads are full of delusional thoughts and beliefs. If anyone ever tries to persuade you that he or she is doing something for your own good - DO NOT BELIEVE THAT. Obviously, that is a lie. Even those, who perform actions for and against people in the name of the greater good and ask nothing in return, do receive the benevolence of surrounding people, which makes them feel better. As you may have noticed, altruists are not that innocent in their intentions, and even the best of them are still partially egoistic.

All of us are monsters: some more, some less. The only difference between us is the extent to which we let this monstrosity to linger in our souls. Some people deny their horrible nature as hard as they can; others confess it, but by all means hide it from unnecessary attention; and only a small number of chosen ones embrace this darkness as a universal part of themselves... and remove one of a thousand obstacles on their path to becoming a genuine human.
